Ingredients
- 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup of cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/4 cup of chopped onion
- 1/4 cup of chopped mushrooms
- 1/4 cup of chopped bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of avocado
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.
- Add the quinoa, oats, onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on a bun, followed by a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and a slice of avocado.
- Serve and enjoy!
