Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, combine the tomatoes, onions, apples, raisins, brown sugar, vinegar, water, mustard seeds, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Transfer the chutney to sterilized jars and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
