Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl.
  • In a saucepan, melt the sugar over medium heat until it turns into a caramel.
  • Add the butter to the caramel and stir until it melts.
  • Pour the caramel mixture into the bowl with the mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Add the eggs and mix until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
