Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  • Slice the bananas and arrange them evenly on the bottom of the pie crust.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
  • Remove the cream from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute to allow the chocolate to melt.
  • Stir the chocolate and cream mixture until smooth and well combined.
  • Add the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt to the chocolate mixture and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the bananas in the pie crust, making sure it covers them completely.
  • Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  • Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.
  • Serve the banana chocolate pie chilled and enjoy!
