Ingredients

  • 2 large yams
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Peel and slice the yams into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat.
  • Stir in the cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Add the yam slices to the saucepan and toss to coat them evenly.
