Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and onion slices for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, and topping with lettuce, tomato, and onion slices.
