Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 slices of pickled carrots and daikon
  • 4 sprigs of fresh cilantro
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sriracha sauce

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, fish sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  • Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, then add a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a patty, pickled carrots and daikon, and a sprig of cilantro.
  • Drizzle Sriracha sauce on top of the patty, if desired.
  • Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
