Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in chocolate pudding mixture until well combined.
- Once cake has cooled, spread chocolate pudding mixture over the top of the cake.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top of the cake.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
