About this recipe

This modern take on steak fried rice uses cauliflower rice to adhere to Whole30 guidelines, providing a nutritious and flavorful meal. The tender steak combined with fresh vegetables and a savory sauce makes this dish a satisfying dinner option.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 head cauliflower, processed into rice
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced

Directions

  1. 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

  2. 2

Cook the steak slices for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining coconut oil, onion, and red bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes.

  7. 7

Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

  8. 8

Garnish with sliced green onions and season with salt and pepper.

Chef's tip

Ensure even cooking of the steak by slicing it thinly. This dish is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for a quick weekday meal.
