Ingredients

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed chocolate cookies
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • In another microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • In a separate saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Pour half of the melted white chocolate mixture into a greased 8x8-inch baking dish. Spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle half of the crushed chocolate cookies and chopped nuts (if using) over the white chocolate layer.
  • Pour the melted dark chocolate mixture over the cookie and nut layer. Spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crushed chocolate cookies and chopped nuts (if using) over the dark chocolate layer.
  • Pour the remaining melted white chocolate mixture over the cookie and nut layer. Spread it evenly.
  • Refrigerate the dish for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is set.
  • Cut into squares and serve with whipped cream.
