Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 slices of whole grain bread
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 leaves of lettuce
Instructions
- 1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- 2. Drain the tofu and pat it dry with a paper towel.
- 3. Crumble the tofu into the skillet and add the olive oil, turmeric, garlic powder, and salt.
- 4. Cook the tofu for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is lightly browned and crispy.
- 5. Toast the bread slices.
- 6. Assemble the sandwich by placing the tofu on one slice of bread, followed by the avocado, tomato, and lettuce.
- 7. Top with the other slice of bread.
- 8. Serve and enjoy!
