Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup black beans, mashed
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, mashed black beans, diced onion, diced bell pepper, grated carrot, nutritional yeast, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
