Ingredients
- 1 can of black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup of cooked quinoa
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/4 cup of chopped onion
- 1/4 cup of chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup of chopped mushrooms
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 whole wheat burger buns
- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc.)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- 2. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher.
- 3. Add the quinoa, oats, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well.
- 4. Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 5. Bake the patties for 20-25 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
