Ingredients
- 1 block extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Toss the cubed tofu in the cornstarch until coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
- Transfer the tofu to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together the orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the sauce over the tofu and toss to coat.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
