Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon kelp powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vegan crab meat
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup vegan mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing the waffle iron
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the chickpea flour, nutritional yeast, kelp powder, Old Bay seasoning, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the water, lemon juice, and soy sauce to the bowl and whisk until well combined.
- Fold in the vegan crab meat, green onions, red bell pepper, celery, parsley, vegan mayonnaise, and breadcrumbs.
- Preheat your waffle iron and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
- Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, spreading it evenly.
- Close the waffle iron and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
