Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of vegan bread
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of vegan butter
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • In a shallow dish, whisk together the almond milk, ground flaxseed, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
  • Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the vegan butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  • Spread the butter mixture onto one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place the bread slices onto the preheated skillet, butter side down.
