Ingredients
- 1 loaf of vegan bread
- 1 cup of almond milk
- 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of vegan butter
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the almond milk, ground flaxseed, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
- Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
- In a small bowl, mix together the vegan butter and brown sugar until well combined.
- Spread the butter mixture onto one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the bread slices onto the preheated skillet, butter side down.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Flip the bread slices and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
