Ingredients

  • 1 can of jackfruit
  • 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 8 slider buns
  • Optional toppings: sliced red onion, pickles, coleslaw

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Drain and rinse the jackfruit. Cut off the hard core and shred the jackfruit with a fork.
  • In a saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, vegetable broth, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the shredded jackfruit to the saucepan and stir to coat the jackfruit in the sauce.
  • Transfer the jackfruit and sauce to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the jackfruit is tender and the sauce is bubbly.
  • Toast the slider buns in the oven for the last 5 minutes of baking.
  • Assemble the sliders with the jackfruit and optional toppings.
  • Serve and enjoy!
