- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic on medium heat until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in peas, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and sour cream. Simmer until heated through.

In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper, and cook until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened.

Layer half of the mashed potatoes in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture and half of the cheese.
