Ingredients
- 4 large tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon of oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon of basil
- 1/4 teaspoon of parsley
Instructions
- 1. Chop the tomatoes, garlic, and onion.
- 2. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 3. Add the chopped garlic and onion to the saucepan and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- 4. Add the chopped tomatoes to the saucepan and cook until they start to break down.
- 5. Stir in the cayenne pepper, salt, sugar, black pepper, paprika, cumin, oregano, thyme, basil, and parsley.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 7. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- 8. Transfer the sauce to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- 9. Return the sauce to the saucepan and heat it over low heat for another 5 minutes.
- 10. Serve the tomato cayenne chilli sauce hot or cold.
