Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the chili to a simmer and let it cook for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
