Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, diced avocado, sliced jalapenos

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
