Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cups pasta
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Optional toppings: sour cream, diced avocado, sliced jalapenos
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the taco sauce. Stir to combine.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the pasta. Cover and let it melt for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and any optional toppings you desire.
