- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 red onion slices
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag and pour in the marinade. Seal the bag and toss to coat the chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and discard remaining marinade.
- Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- Toast hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble sandwiches by placing a lettuce leaf, tomato slice, and red onion slice on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a grilled chicken breast and the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately.
