About this recipe

Experience the delight of homemade strawberry bliss with these cupcakes. Fresh strawberries and a creamy frosting make these treats perfect for any occasion, whether you're entertaining guests or enjoying a sweet moment alone.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pureed strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

Stir in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix just until combined. Fold in the pureed strawberries.

  5. 5

Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

  6. 6

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. 7

Frost with your favorite vanilla or strawberry buttercream and garnish with fresh strawberries, if using.

Chef's tip

For an extra burst of strawberry flavor, consider adding diced strawberries to the batter or using a strawberry-infused frosting.
