Ingredients
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup of yogurt
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- Water (as needed)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, yogurt, salt, baking powder, and oil. Mix well.
- Gradually add water to the mixture and knead until you have a soft and smooth dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a circle of about 6-7 inches in diameter.
- Heat a griddle or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled paratha on the hot griddle and cook for about 1-2 minutes, or until bubbles start to form on the surface.
- Flip the paratha and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown and cooked through. Apply a little oil or ghee on both sides while cooking.
- Remove the cooked paratha from the griddle and repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
- Serve the spongy circular parathas hot with yogurt or pickle. Enjoy!
