Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 large tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add onions, garlic, ginger, and green chili. Saute until onions are translucent.
- Add turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add potatoes and tomatoes. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender.
- Add garam masala and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
