Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Add the dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
