Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and tomato sauce. Add the dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
