Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried butterbeans
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  • 1. Rinse the dried butterbeans and soak them in water overnight.
  • 2. In a large pot, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.
  • 3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.
