Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 4 lettuce leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- 2. Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions and shape into patties.
- 3. Season patties with salt and pepper.
- 4. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- 5. Grill patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- 6. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty to melt.
- 7. Toast hamburger buns on the grill for a minute or until lightly browned.
- 8. In a small bowl, mix together barbecue sauce and mayonnaise.
- 9. Spread the barbecue mayo mixture on the bottom half of each bun.
- 10. Top with a cooked patty, 2 slices of bacon, tomato slices, red onion slices, and lettuce.
- 11. Cover with the top half of the bun.
