  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Directions

    Combine rice and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 18-20 minutes until tender.

    Whisk soy sauce and honey in a small bowl and set aside.

    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes until softened.
