Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Serve the shrimp and sauce over the cooked spaghetti. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
  • Enjoy!
