Ingredients

  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  • Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked linguine and shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the shrimp pasta delight hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
