Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  • Stir in frozen peas and carrots, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and rosemary. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the beef mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes over the top and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the potatoes are golden brown.
