Ingredients

  • 1 block of paneer, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons ghee or butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the ghee or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and ginger and cook for another minute.
  • Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, and cayenne pepper and cook for another minute.
  • Add the diced tomatoes and their juices and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the paneer and cook for 5-7 minutes, until heated through.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Season with salt to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
