Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  • While the rice is cooking, drain the tofu and cut it into small cubes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  • Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and toss to coat.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the tofu cubes.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is crispy and golden brown.
  • Once the rice is done, fluff it with a fork and add the chopped green onions.
  • Serve the rice in bowls and top with the crispy tofu cubes.
