About this recipe

Indulge in a beautifully crafted pork sandwich featuring tender pulled pork, fresh coleslaw, and a tangy barbecue sauce, all neatly tucked inside a soft brioche bun. Perfect for picnics, barbecues, or a satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 brioche buns
  • 1 cup shredded coleslaw
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

Combine barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

  3. 3

Rub the sauce evenly over the pork shoulder and place it in a baking dish. Cover tightly with foil.

  4. 4

Roast in the oven for 3-4 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

  5. 5

Remove from the oven, let rest for 15 minutes, then shred the pork using two forks.

  6. 6

Toast the brioche buns and brush them lightly with olive oil.

  7. 7

Assemble each sandwich with shredded pork, some sauce, and coleslaw.

  8. 8

    Serve hot and enjoy!
