Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

    Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

    Heat olive oil in an oven-proof skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken breasts on both sides until golden, about 3 minutes per side.
