Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
- Serve the pasta topped with the chicken and sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
