Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 head broccoli, chopped
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
  • Add the broccoli to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top of the pasta and serve hot.
