Ingredients

  • 1 pound whole wheat pasta
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

    Cook pasta according to package directions and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.

    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, cook turkey, onion, and garlic until turkey is browned.

    Blend cottage cheese with reserved pasta water until smooth. Mix into turkey mixture with half of the Parmesan.
