Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (such as spaghetti or fettuccine)
  • 6 slices of bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Directions

    Boil pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
