Ingredients
- 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add the onion, garlic, and peppers and cook until softened.
- Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- If using kidney beans, add them to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
