Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp green onion, chopped

Directions

  1. 1

Mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Set aside.

  2. 2

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. 3

Add sliced chicken to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

Add broccoli and bell pepper. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp, around 5 minutes.

  5. 5

Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to coat.

  6. 6

Cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.

  7. 7

Garnish with chopped green onion and serve hot.

Chef's tip

Ensure to use fresh vegetables for maximum flavor and texture. Optionally, add sesame seeds for extra crunch.
