Ingredients

  • 1 kg mutton
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. In a pressure cooker, heat some oil and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  • 2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • 3. Add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • 4. Add the tomato puree, yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
  • 5. Add water as needed and pressure cook until the mutton is tender.
  • 6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
