Ingredients
- 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger and sauté for a minute.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until they release their moisture and start to brown.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add tomato puree and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Add heavy cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
