Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half.
  • In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Place the flour in another shallow dish.
  • Dip each mozzarella stick half into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  • Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
