Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half.
- In a shallow dish, mix together the breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Place the flour in another shallow dish.
- Dip each mozzarella stick half into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the mozzarella sticks from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
