Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 200g dark chocolate
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Peel and slice the bananas.
- 2. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water.
- 3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- 4. Add the sugar and vanilla extract to the whipped cream and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
- 5. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream mixture.
- 6. Layer the sliced bananas in serving glasses or bowls.
- 7. Spoon the chocolate mousse mixture over the bananas.
- 8. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of chocolate mousse.
- 9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- 10. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
