Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the milk, heavy cream, and sugar over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Slowly pour the cornstarch mixture into the simmering milk mixture, stirring constantly.
- Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, unsalted butter, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- In a small bowl, mix together the crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar.
- Sprinkle the graham cracker mixture over the set milk mixture in each serving dish.
- Top with a dollop of whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
