Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
- Slowly pour the hot milk into the sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
- Slowly pour the egg mixture into the saucepan, whisking constantly.
- Return the saucepan to low heat and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour the mixture into a pre-baked pie crust.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Allow the tart to cool before serving.
