Ingredients

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
  • Slowly pour the hot milk into the sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
  • Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Slowly pour the egg mixture into the saucepan, whisking constantly.
  • Return the saucepan to low heat and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour the mixture into a pre-baked pie crust.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  • Allow the tart to cool before serving.
