Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup ground walnuts
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup apricot jam
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- Add the butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the sour cream, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, and mix until the dough comes together.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a ball.
- On a floured surface, roll out each ball into a circle about 1/8 inch thick.
- Spread a thin layer of apricot jam over each circle.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the sugar and ground walnuts.
- Sprinkle the sugar and walnut mixture over the jam.
- Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut each circle into 12 equal wedges.
- Starting at the wide end, roll up each wedge tightly and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
