  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional)
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C), and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick fries.

  3. 3

Toss the fries with cornstarch, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 4

Spread fries on prepared baking sheets in a single layer and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway.

  5. 5

In a bowl, mix turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, bell pepper, and seasoning. Form into 4 patties.

  6. 6

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, until cooked through.

  7. 7

Add cheese slices in the last minute of cooking, if desired.

  8. 8

Assemble burgers on buns and serve with sweet potato fries.

Chef's tip

Ensure fries are in a single layer to achieve maximum crispiness. Adjust flavors with your favorite burger toppings and seasonings for a personalized taste.
