Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Peel and cut sweet potatoes into thin fries.
- In a large bowl, toss sweet potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- In a separate bowl, mix together ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, bell pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Form mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
- If desired, add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
